SERVICES
Self Assessment Tax Return
Self Assessment applies to the self-employed, company directors, landlords, and anyone with income that is not taxed at source. We manage the process from start to finish — gathering the necessary information, preparing the return accurately, and filing it with HMRC on time.
We also review each return for allowable expenses and available reliefs, so clients can be confident they are not paying more tax than their circumstances require.
- Returns for sole traders, directors, landlords, and individuals with untaxed income
- Thorough review of allowable expenses and reliefs
- Filed on time to avoid HMRC late filing penalties
- Clear explanation of the tax position before submission
Making Tax Digital for Income Tax (MTD for ITSA)
HMRC is introducing Making Tax Digital for Income Tax Self Assessment, which will require many self-employed individuals and landlords to keep digital records and submit quarterly updates, rather than a single annual return. This represents a significant change to how personal tax reporting works in the UK, and it will affect a large number of people over the coming years.
We can help clients understand whether and when MTD for ITSA will apply to them, what they need to have in place, and how to transition without unnecessary disruption.
- Assessment of whether MTD for ITSA applies and from when
- Guidance on compatible software and digital record-keeping
- Support through the transition to quarterly reporting
- Ongoing quarterly submissions and year-end finalisation once live
